ಕಡ್ಡಿಪುಡಿ – ಉಡಿ ತು೦ಬಾ ಹಿಡಿ ಕನಸು. . .   Leave a comment

Shivanna romancing Radhika Pandit (RP) !? And the damsel (RP) further justifies “Initially people had doubts about us wooing each other on screen because of the age difference, but I think we look awesome together.”

Duh!!!!! And I was like…
Baby, baby, baby ooooohhhhh
Like baby, baby, baby nooooooo….
Like baby, baby, baby oooooh :D :P

Anyways, Kaddipudi is the sixth film of Suri which stars, Shivrajkumar, Radhika Pandit, Rangayana Raghu, Aindrita Ray. Suri’s movies emphasizes on variants of societal realism and the perks of being in itself, being for itself. During the release of its audio, Suri conveyed that “The songs of this film are unlike any of my previous five films. There is no song which can be termed a ‘hero-introduction’ song or even a ‘duet song’. In Kaddipudi, all the songs are central to the story.” And honestly the five songs of the movie have substance and are unlike typical Sandalwood plastic songs, besides; Kaddipudi is deviant of common misconception that which Kannada songs are normally associated with. For Kaddipudi, V. Harikrishna is the music director and S.Krishna Kumar is the cinematographer.

A Brief Review:

Budu Budukke Malinga of V. Harikrishna, Yograj Bhat, Lyrics: Yograj Bhat

Check out the lyrics! So Freakingly bizzzzarre…

Furthermore, Bhatt adds that this song is incorporated in a Movie where in the main protagonist expresses his views in an arranged-marriage that which turns out to be artificial. I still do not get the logic behind the words!! Nevertheless, Tamatae, Veena interludes are good, which stamps mass-ness to it.

Soundharya Samara of Sonu Nigam, Lyrics: Yograj Bhat

Oh Boy! The lyrics has that ಉನ್ಮಾದ , beauty and the embeddedness which leads to a devastating ethereal experience and it is simply brilliant because of the duality it encloses (It took me a while to finally get it), Terrific Work from Yograj Bhatt who faithfully pays tribute to the mysterious sensuality of the woman. Vani Harikrishna’s soul-stirring aalaap lays an amazing platform for Nigam to display his ever-amazing symphonious skill. For the dance sequence Aindrita Ray will be seen in a classical avatar (Kathak) and I’m eagerly looking forward to it!

Hedarabyadre of Sachchina , Lyrics: Jayanth Kaikini

Totally in love with this song which beautifically radiates pure simplicity, I have to dedicate this song to my grandma who recently passed away, the song simply bears resemblance to what she really was. Unraveling the essence of sharing, caring; the folk song articulates awareness on quality-of-life issues.

Bere Yaro of Vani Harikrishna, Lyrics: Jayanth Kaikini

ಜೀವವೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸು… ಜೀವ ಹೋಗುವಂತೇ…
ಸಂತೆಯಾ ಮಧ್ಯವೇ… ಸ್ವಪ್ನ ತಾಗುವಂತೆ…
Just WOW! Terrific composition, the only reaction to this song is that: it would’ve been amazing and would’ve been nothing short of masterful if it were sung by an appropriate person with feminist fervor.

Jinke Bedareruvaga of Priyadarshini, Lyrics: Yograj Bhat

Wow! Tantalizingly seductive, track lengths just 1:20 and Yograj Bhatt with his aesthetic judgment on beauty, bares his soul to which Priyadarshini’s vocals render a fresh feel.

I always thought that the phrase “A song with good lyrics will always be a good song no matter the kind of music that it is quipped with” and Kaddipudi is a prime example, V Harikrishna has not quite experimented with alternative sounds. With tremendous lyrical power, Kaddipudi has undoubtedly very simple tastes which accentuate notions of temporal sensitivity.

My Picks:

Soundharya Samara, Hedarabyadre, Bere Yaro

Creatively Stupid: It is so awful that it is good – Part 1   3 comments

“The difference between genius and stupidity is; genius has its limits.” – Albert Einstein

Righto! So here is a list of what I think is the most creative stupid songs of Bollywood and Sandalwood film industry, who have managed to produce over the years. The songs are so immensely, splendidly stupid that they are great, great for the fact that they make you from die from laughter also listening, watching to it causes a character to question his/her own sanity. The core of it is characterised by Pelvic thrusts, odd fluorescent lights, lewd facial expressions, funky camera work, wacky backdrops , lame props, eccentric clothing, bizarre lyrics/music and I sincerely have no idea where do these guys get inspiration from, you just cannot make this stuff up if you try really hard and of course this is not a complete list, there’s a lot more to come :) ;)
