Creatively Stupid: It is so awful that it is good – Part 1   3 comments

“The difference between genius and stupidity is; genius has its limits.” – Albert Einstein

Righto! So here is a list of what I think is the most creative stupid songs of Bollywood and Sandalwood film industry, who have managed to produce over the years. The songs are so immensely, splendidly stupid that they are great, great for the fact that they make you from die from laughter also listening, watching to it causes a character to question his/her own sanity. The core of it is characterised by Pelvic thrusts, odd fluorescent lights, lewd facial expressions, funky camera work, wacky backdrops , lame props, eccentric clothing, bizarre lyrics/music and I sincerely have no idea where do these guys get inspiration from, you just cannot make this stuff up if you try really hard and of course this is not a complete list, there’s a lot more to come :) ;)

  1. hehehe…good observation. my top song is kashinath’s ‘america paalade ..”

  2. I don’t find anything supid with Gadibidi Krishna, Navathare songs. And the ksheera saagara song mentioned by you is a famous folk song in Kannada.
Some people have a stupid definition for stupidity.

  3. Anon Thanks for commenting ! :)
I dont think you’ve quite understood the lyrics of ಟಕ ಟಕ ಟಕ್ಸಿಉ.. Please go through the lyrics and let me know your thoughts on the same..

About Navathare.. I must admit that its decent enough only w.r.t to its lyrics as you can see “The core of it is characterised by Pelvic thrusts, odd facial expressions, funky camera work, wacky backdrops , lame props”

Coming to the last comment : ksheera saagara.. I don’t think anyone is as creative as the director who has has incorporated a famous folk song into the movie merely as a narrative sequence or just to fill the gaps.. with funky sounds of saxophone, guitar you just dont dance to a folk song in an empty stadium !!
